And Solution
Of Iranian Nuclear
Problem

The confrontation between Iran and the
United States is another central
geopolitical theme at the Fifth Eurasian
Media Forum. The session participants
stated that the Shanghai Cooperation
Organization is capable of preventing a
war in Iran. The future of the region
and even the whole world depends on how
the situation around the Iranian nuclear
problem will be resolved. A new recipe
for the preservation of stability was
offered at the Eurasian media forum by
the famous Russian political scientist,
Igor Panarin.
Igor Panarin, political scientist,
professor of Diplomatic Academy, MFA of
Russia:
«The new mechanism for constraining the
nuclear ambitions of Iran is the
Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The
SCO can become a sponsor of stability
and security. I have offered the
following quadrangle: the IAEA – Russia
– the SCO – and Iran, which is capable
of discussing the nuclear problem.»
Coverage of the Iranian problem in the
media is also an important component of
the conflict. Experts are sure that even
the world’s leading media are not
covering this confrontation very
objectively, not to mention the regional
media.
Richard Perle, former US assistant
secretary of defense (1981 - 1987):
«Americans are concerned with the steady
movement of Iran towards the acquisition
of nuclear weapons. We are not talking
about civil nuclear energy here. We are
talking about nuclear weapons that can
be obtained by the regime that is always
talking about military power.»
Siamak Namazi, managing director,
Atieh Bahar Consulting, Iran:
«I ask you to stop and think who is the
irrational player here. President Bush
considers all option including the use
of tactical nuclear weapons. Doctor
Perle here speaks about diplomatic
approaches. But did the US really try
this?»
Along with that the reasons for the
appearance of such conflicts in the
world is still an urgent issue.
Journalists said that today it is
especially important to find a civilized
and constructive solution to the Iranian
problem.
